Description
The little gem of Prattvillage, a small Gothic style wooden church In Old Town Prattville, Alabama.
No one knows the genesis of the Little Chapel, but it was first discovered on an Autaugaville farm belonging to the Wendland family who owned it. I. Thought to be the original Episcopal Church mentioned by Shadrach Mims in his History of Autauga County, it was donated to Old Prattvillage and today serves as a poignant and picturesque reminder of the past.
First place in the "Alabama In The Fall" contest sponsored by "Sweet Home Alabama" group 09/28/2020.
